Solar Powered Garbage Can in Chandler, Arizona

I went to the Chandler Library the other day and was amazed to find a politically correct solar powered garbage can installed at the front of the library. Ain't that cool! A solar powered garbage can.

My first question was wow how much money did the government waste on this politically correct solar powered trash can. I would later find out that the solar powered waste baskets cast almost $4,000. Wow! A huge waste of money!

I was even more surprised to notice that the solar powered garbage can was installed in the shade! Yes the shade!

Don't the ninnys on the Chandler City Council know that solar cells need sun light to operate. They were probably so happy after they voted to spend the $4,000 that they didn't even check that out and told the maintenance men to install it at the front of the library to show the citizens of Chandler that City Council was politically correct and green.

Well even a six year old that looks at the solar powered trash can will figure out it needs sun light to operate, and it ain't in the sun!

Would you pay $4,000 for this marvelous piece of machinery that will squish your garbage so you only have to empty it once a week instead of twice a week?

Of for those of you who are giggling thinking I am making up this whole thing, just what does a solar powered trash can do?

Well senses the level of trash in it and when the can gets full it squishes the trash.

The folks at Big Belly say that by squishing your trash, the can holds four times as much garbage as it normally would, which means you don't have to empty it as much.

The folks at Big Belly go on to say that if you buy their $4,000 garbage can it will save you gazallions of dollars in labor over the lifetime of the $4,000 trashcan.

Don't you want to go out and buy one now?
