Open Meeting: Talk about Anything You Want!

Minutes of 07/03/08

1. Attended: Since this was the day before the "4th" holiday, the crowd was "thin": Pat Schwind, Frank Rickey, Mark Sorhdal, Ed Stroup, Howard Crowe & Ed Adler.

2. This was an "open meeting"; we discussed a number of topics, including:
   1. Is the U.S. "war on terror" just a hoax? Would the danger from Islamic Jihadis evaporate if we simply stopped supporting Israel?
   2. Since most Americans now doubt the Government's explanation for the JFK assasination, isn't it conceivable that they're also lying to us about what happened on 9-11?
   3. Is Pat Buchanan correct in his recently published book, (sorry the title escapes me at this time), where he asserts that Hitler could have been stopped, via the proper negotiations, before WWII & implementation of the "final solution"?
   4. Is he also correct to suggest that the U.S. should have allowed Germany & the U.S.S.R. to "slug it out", without our intervention, so that we could have more easily defeated a weakened Nazi regime, & then turn our might against "Uncle Joe" Stalin, rather than "hand 300 million slaves to the Soviets, in central & eastern Europe", like we did in the "Yalta Agreement", where "FDR was too weak & feeble to stand up to a vigorous dictator"?
   5. Who were the real "Bad Guys" in the Yugoslavian Civil War? Frank contends that the Serbs "were no worse than any other faction....The Croats & Muslims committed their fair share of atrocities"! Pat, of course disagreed, citing numerous media stories that portrayed the Serbs as, by far, the real aggressors & butchers.

   • 9/25- Randall Holmes of the Az. Advocacy Network, re: “Election Fraud 2008 — How Bad Can It Be?!”
   • 10/09- Local Progressive Radio talk show host, Cynthia Black, re: "Election Preview".

4. Our next meeting is this Thursday, 7/17/08

   Please arrive before 7:30 Am at “JIM’s CONEY ISLAND CAFE”, 1750 No. Scottsdale Rd., Tempe, at the southwest corner of Scottsdale & Cavalier, Click Here for a map, 1 block south of McKellips, ~ 1mile north of the 202 Freeway. Our speaker will again be US! Months ago, we had scheduled Dr. Zuhdi Jasser of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy, re: "What's Really Happening in the Middle East", Part II. However, we just learned that Dr. Jasser was asked to speak at some (more important?) forum or conference in D.C., by Senator Kyl & Congressman Trent Franks. So what's the S/E, "chopped liver". This will be an Open Meeting & Discussion; topics might include:

   1. How people should raise their kids & drive their cars', or
   2. Why are GOP nut jobs so afraid of GAY Marriage? Don't we have enough problems to solve w/o getting 'side-tracked' with 'wedge issues' that should have been laughed at by intelligent folks, decades ago?! Isn't 'traditional marriage' affected more by the fact that so many GOP 'honchos' are adulterous hypocrites, & so much of the entertainment on the FOX network promotes the sexual restraint of a male dog surrounded by a batch of bitches 'in heat'?
   3. Why do so many GOP honchos build their careers on 'gay hatred', when they in fact are gay themselves?
   4. Why are so many powerful Dems so 'spineless' in the face of such total GOP incompetence & treason?! Hmm? Please Bring guests!

5. Publisher's Note: Please "put on your thinking caps", & come up with the names & phone #'s of some BLACK folks, preferably Black Preachers, to attend my presentation of 7/31, where I will defend the statements of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. I'd be happy to call the folks personally; just fax me the list; but call first; I'm having problems recieving faxes!
