Minutes of 08/27/2009

1. Attended 08/27/2009 : Frank Rickey, Pat Schwind, Ed Stroup, Mike Ross, Geri Seckinger, Barb Bentley, Rich Woods, Mark Sordahl, Olga Strickland & James Casey.

2. Note: All opinions are those of Pat Schwind only, & not those of anyone else at Impact Mortgage Network.

   Our speaker was supposed to be Business Guru Warren Avery, speaking on the subject of "Customer Service: Demand it & Provide it!" However, due to a simple miscue, Warren thought the presentation was at lunch! It happens. He's a great guy, & we'll get him back on the calendar next spring or summer.

   We made the best use of the time, & had a rousing discussion of some great topics:

   1. Health Care Reform: Does the GOP really want to help the nation find a solution, or do they just want Obama to fail?

   2. How would a libertarian government handle privatization of simple things like road, bridges, airports, "public schools", etc.?

   3. Was 9-11 an "inside job"; recent polls show that ~ 33% of Americans think that the Bush Crime family either know it was gonna happen & let it, (like FDR did with Pearl Harbor), or they actually did the dirty deed. As long ago as 20 years, ~ 2/3 of Americans believed that the US gov't explanation for the assassination of JFK, (the Warren Report), was a lie, & that Lee Harvey Oswald was in fact a part of a much larger conspiracy, involving elements of the US gov't itself. I believe that 20 years hence, after a few "death bed confessions", half of Americans will realize that 9-11 was in fact an inside job. In 25 - 30 years, it'll be 75%.

   • 11/19- 9-11 Truther Mike Shoen provides an update on the 9-11 Truth movement; Hopefully with help from Truthers Blair Gadsby & Kent Knudson.

   • 12/3 or 12/17- Former coach of the Belgian National, & UVA Fencing teams, Dirk Moonen, & a student, will give a real live Fencing Demonstration, in the parking lot, after a breakfast presentation.

   • 12/3 or 12/17- How Pat Schwind & Dan Dominey outfoxed one of the Greatest Conmen in the History of Great Britan; We'll watch the original documentary "The Lying Game", from the BBC.

   • 1/28/10- The Holocaust: History's Greatest Genocide or Outright Hoax? Pat Schwind debates Holocaust Denier Friedrich Paul Berg.

   • TBD- Nuclear Power: Hard Core "Greenie" Russell Lowes will debate my good friend & nuclear engineer, Joe Napier.
