1. Attended 12/17/2009 : Frank Rickey, Steve Avilla, Geri Seckinger, Rich Woods, Ed Stroup, Mike Ross, Powell Gammill, John Eichenauer, Steve Archambault, & our speaker Pat Schwind.

   At a Christmas party in late 1995, by total fluke, I met one of the greatest con-men in British history. He told me he wanted to buy an $800K home in Scottsdale. In ‘95, there really weren’t too many homes that expensive in AZ. To do so, he needed investors to put money into his ventures, which were based on paying struggling but talented writers almost nothing for interesting manuscripts, & then converting these into screenplays for movies & miniseries, to sell to giant production companies, at a nice fat profit for the investors. “Guiy de Montfort” needed me to introduce him to investors, in order to make this all work. Sounded quite interesting to me, in my boring life as a LO.

   I started to “check the guy out”, “just in case”. My good friend Dan Dominey, told me of an “East Valley Tribune” article from the prior summer, which mentioned something about a famous British con-man, who “fit the bill”. Then the fun really began! I “strung Guiy along” for another year, & eventually got him into a clandestine interview at a local resort, that became the highlight of a video from the BBC, part of a 5 part series, called “The Lying Game”, which aired in Britain in ‘97. We really did outfox one of the Greatest Con-men of Britain. We were the STARS!! It was a blast! If you ever want to see it, just call me.

   • 3/25- The Wisdom of Eastern Medicine. Feng Sui instructor Johndennis Govert, and Tai-Chi instructor (& my chiropractor) Dr. Darin Henry. We also hope to have an acupuncturist, & another martial arts coach.

   • 4/8- Local "Lefty" Attorney Sean Larkin: The Criminal Justice is Broken & “Sheriff Joe” Arpaio should be in Prison.

   • 4/22- Earth Day Debate, hopefully on Nuclear Power.

   • 5/6- Local Libertarian Attorney Michael Kielsky. Topic TBD'd; most likely something like "Why is America becoming a Police State", or "We Don't Need no Stinkin' Photo Radar"!!

   • TBD- Nuclear Power: I thought I had a "lefty" to debate my friend & nuclear engineer, Joe Napier, but he backed out. No biggie. I'll find another.

   • TBD- The Magic of Packy Paulsen & Tony Barnhart. I hope they can make some folks I know disappear!!
